E&M Combustión, an industrial combustion engineering company, supplies a mixed propane-natural gas burner to a gas-intensive plant in Andalusia. The equipment thus replaces the existing natural gas user burner in the plant, which will be able to alternate the use of fuels depending on market prices, which leads to energy savings in the installation.

The constant increase in the price of natural gas used by industry could be mitigated considerably by the alternation of fuels in the same production plant, an energy saving measure in times of unbridled growth in energy costs. This is already possible today from a technical point of view with the use of existing mixed combustion systems already in Spain, explains Iñigo Béjar, CEO of E&M Combustión in the Interempresas publication.

E&M Combustión designs a burner to operate with recycled oil in a treatment plant dedicated to the regeneration of used industrial oils. The equipment developed by this engineering company, focused on the development of Innovative Combustion Technologies, is a mixed burner that can work with natural gas or with recycled oil as fuels, depending on the availability of the user company, thus leading to significant energy savings, given the current gas rates.
