E&M Combustión supplies a mixed propane-natural gas burner to a plant in Andalusia

E&M Combustión,  an industrial combustion engineering company, supplies a mixed propane-natural gas burner to a gas-intensive plant in Andalusia. The equipment thus replaces the existing natural gas user burner in the plant, which will be able to alternate the use of fuels depending on market prices, which leads to energy savings in the installation.

The adoption of the mixed propane-natural gas burner is proposed as a strategy to deal with the impact of the high price of natural gas. In this way, the production plant will be able to automatically use either propane or natural gas in its operation depending on the cost of the fuel, for which it has two independent ramps.

The mixed propane-natural gas burner installed is a JBD 6000-G model designed and manufactured by E&M Combustión. It has a power of 600-6000 kW that allows it to operate at a pressure of 200 mbar, and two independent ramps for propane and natural gas.

Mixed burner characteristics

The mixed burner implemented by E&M Combustión in this facility consists of a high-performance duoblock combustion unit, prepared to overcome high overpressures in the combustion chamber. It is capable of operating with all types of liquid and gaseous fuels, adapting to the demand of the plant.

The standard range includes burners for traditional fuels such as diesel, natural gas and L.P.G. and fuel oil, and mixed gas-diesel and gas-fuel oil burners. The company also manufactures special equipment for burning biogas, recycled oils and other types of alternative fuels, such as hydrogen burners.

JBD burners feature low NOx emissions and use a double air register. This equipment can achieve different flame lengths and shapes depending on the adjustment of the air registers and the manufacture of different types of heads to adapt to the different homes or combustion chambers.
