Courtesy visits from our staff to Serbia

E&M Combustion staff have recently made courtesy visits to Serbia, with the aim of maintaining contacts with their collaborators, clients and companies in this country, including Termotim Sombor, pictured here, with whom we have collaborated on numerous occasions in environmental sustainability projects in the European region.

Among the latest joint projects are the combustion systems that are part of the technological upgrade of the Pljevlja thermal power plant in Montenegro. These combustion systems contribute to turbine cleaning and operate in the plant’s auxiliary boilers.

In this project, Termotim Sombor carried out the installation and commissioning of the two systems, equipped with four JBM-HP low-NOx fuel oil burners, designed by E&M Combustion. These burners operate in the power plant alongside two 25-ton/hour boilers manufactured by Tipoklotlogradnja.

The investment and execution project for the lignite-fired plant is being undertaken by a consortium led by the Chinese company Dongfang Electric International Corporation. The consortium will complete the technological upgrade of the power plant before the end of the year.
